    71 Emissions Label

Looking back through edition three of the TIM JG, I had a note that the number on my yellow emission label did not match what was in the JG. Checking the latest edition (edition four), I see that the number didn't change. The JG calls out part number 3989361 for the label, but mine has 3983361. Which one is correct?

Car is early sept 70 build. S/N 1632

    Thanks,

    Tom

Tom what you have is an original label I don't have my old photos in front of me but that is the number I remember. My car was also Sept S/N 1914 always nice to see an original. Paul 18046

      Thanks for the reply Paul.

Looks like there may be a typo in the JG in regards to the part number of the yellow label. Hopefully the next edition will correct it.

      Regards,
      Tom

Send the info, including your picture, to Reba Whittington.
She will then include it in the next Edition.

Why is it that no one tells us these things until the next manual appear??? From the two numbers quotes, sounds like someone mis-read or mistyped the original info.

              Michael,

I hope I didn't come across as moaning..........

I am very grateful to have a resource such as the TIM and appreciate all of the efforts that go into putting one together.

              Regards,
              Tom

For the same reason that no one in your local Corvette club has an opinion or input until after something has been decided?

That's why there are new editions, Reba.
