Headlight Actuators

Rebuilt my headlight actuators and I don't remember which way the vacuum bend is pointing for the reinstall, to the outside or center for a '73. Some schematics like the AIM have them to the outside, and some vendors list outside for '68-79, center for 80-'82. Tech guide says center is correct but they have seen them both ways (so have I).

Which way is correct!

Thanks for the reply Paul. I was pretty sure they were that way based on the tie straps I have on my supports. Just curious, what year is your car?

Chris I had a 1971 LT-1 for 33 years sold it year and half ago. It was time. Right now I'm helping a friend and local chapter member complete his 71 LT-1 restoration . Paul 18046

All the sharks at Waco I looked at had the tube pointing to the outside except an 82 and they were toward the center. The 82 had the short turn on the elbows.
