    C1 Copper Replacement Radiator

I purchased a copper replacement radiator for 58-60. When aligned with the holes on the radiator support, the radiator does not have the height to go all the way to the bottom of the support, there is a gap of a approx 6". As a consequence, the petcock does not go through the hole in the support. I checked measurements of the radiator from suppliers and this one seems to conform. Is this normal? Am I missing something with the installation? Thanks. Richard

Nope, you're not missing anything. There is a big hole there for air to slip by!

There's a great thread on the Corvette forum C1/C2 section regarding Tom's radiators. Check it out.
