82 CE Compartment Frame Color

I am trying to replace my rear storage compartment frames in my 82' CE, and the replacement from two sources, which turns out to actually come from the same one, is brown, when my originals look to be a lighter color, not faded. What should it be and what to do?
I am also new to NCRS, but have been a Corvetter since 1985!

I expect you'll have to paint/dye for a good match. Try to find an area not sun faded to match with.

I agree....here's a pic of my CE's rear compartment....as I recall the color was the same as the lower dash and other trim....sort of a greenish silver.
