    Wolf-Dieter Herbrand the radio guy

As a follow-up to my posting of last year, I heard from Wolf in August of 2007. However, he has not responded to my e-mails since then. Wolf was a member and advertiser in the Driveline and performed radio repairs for other members; as cited in other theads. If anyone can help put me in touch with Wolf, I would be very appreciative.

I sent Wolf my radio for repairs, and I am anxious to have it returned.

Bob, If you don't have it, Wolf's email is: mr.pacerv8@online.de

I have done business with Wolf, purchased a tube set, and sold him a few radio items I had lying around. He stopped selling on Ebay due to costs, and was creating his own website. Yes he is very knowledgeable with the tube radios.

He has a friend here in Melbourne Florida ,near where I live, who did most of the shipping of his items to the US to save time and shipping costs. I think I have that name around somewhere. I'll try to find it.

I had tried mr.pacerv8@arcor.de, and will try it again. The address you gave resulted in a "delivery failure" from the system. If you could find a way to get through to Wolf for me I would certainly appreciate it.

Glad to know that other people had a good relationship with him too.

He did the wonderbar for my 1960. He sent frequent pictures and updates on it's progress. He was fun to get emails from. He was always kidding around with me. He once told me he was greasing up my radio with WWII German tank grease. He did a great job, quite a guy!

Wolf shipped some equipment I bought with a bunch of German chocloate bars enclosed in the box. He said he remembered as a child how the GI's had given him chocolate bars, and how much he liked America. They were good chocolate!

Anyway, every time I talked to him he was almost done with my radio (which was a basket case: someone had tried to convert it to 12 volts by inserting some 12 volt tubes and wiring the rest in series with 6 volt light bulbs), but its been more than 4 years since I sent it, and at least if he returned the carcass I could fill the hole in the dash. But I'm not getting any response to my e-mails.

So again, if anyone can reach Wolf, please ask him to contact me. I would really like to have my equipment back, and I'm no worse off if he wasn't able to get it to work. bobkossow@hotmail.com
