Corvette Rubber Roadster Vent window

In the pictures the vent rubber on the outside of the door does not come all the way to meet the back rubber and close the gap. Can a few of you look at your roadsters and see if this is correct. These rubbers are from corvette rubber and they say thats the way they are made. It just does not look right.The vertical post will move a little closer once the screw and stop are put in and close the gap at the inside of the window. I sent the pictures to Corvette rubber also, they said that there correct and made to GM drawings. Anyone else have corvette rubber in there roadster vent windows and have this problem.

When I replaced the rubbers in my vent windows I compaired the Corvette Rubber materials to the original and I didn't notice any difference in size or shape. The vent windows really don't close or open or seal as well as I would like but I think this is just the design.

The original verticle back rubbers on my 64 stand out slightly, similar to the ones in your picture. The outside rubber meets them at the top and there is no gap. All of the rubbers are original and have not been replaced.

Mike,There was a fellow on the utter side I believe that asked the same question. Go and talk to him about how he solved the problem.
