Correct heater core

I am rebuilding my heater box and found I have the original heater core (May 66). I ordered a "correct" core from one of the bigger parts suppliers and the only visable parts (the inlet and outlet) are not even close. Anybody found a closer repop or have an alternative to what I already have?
Correct one is on the right with brass tubes.

You can still get a heater core for your application from GM and Delco. It's GM #52484057. However, I'll bet it's going to look exactly or almost like the new one you have. So, I don't think you'll gain anything.

You might be able to find a radiator shop that will re-core the heater core for you. Frankly, I would not go this route, but it might be possible.

After the core is installed in the car and the hoses installed on the tubes, I just don't think you'll be able to tell that much difference between your old and new heater cores.

Peter You May Just Be Able To Re-use You Old Tubes On The Orig. Take To A Radiator Shop, They Can Be Reatattached To New One And He Can Reflare The Ends.
