What supplier has the best quality, '67 black fiberglass hood surround ?
Don't know if NOS is affordable.

The process has been changed to a layup process instead of the resin transfer method. The parts still have the nice original look on the underside and are considerably heavier. No problems that I am aware of.

I dont know if there were any resin voids in the old process or that there was any more than any other process. The old process was a resin transfer, where resin is pumped into the mold. The new process is a lay up process, just like most other repro fiberglass parts have been done for years. I dont know that anyone can lay glass and roll out all of the bubbles. Its probably not possible to do completely. I would advise anyone using any manufacturers parts to closely inspect and repair anything that is suspect. The new part looks nice on the underside which is most critical for an original looking repair. It is certainly the best from that standpoint and is heavier and better formed than the others on the market.

I bought a corvette image surround for my 66. It fit well. I have had no issues with it except it was very wavy. Had to body filler the whole piece to make it flat. It looks good now. Jeff

I put a new front surround on my '64 coupe using panels from Corvette Image. Wayne actually built it for me. It will be two years in January since it was built and one year since it was painted. The fit and finish was very good; and so far, I've had no paint bubbling issues as many have described.
