I would be careful. It is difficult to tell if the frame is in good condition in the left rear. I just got done doing a frame off on a 69. you could easily spend 10s of thousands in repairs. It looks a little molested in the interior.

              Re: 1969 Black/red 435

I was all excited when I saw this car on it's first ebay round a month or two back(this is it's third round) until it was bid WAY out of my price range. My gut feeling is that it is a basically original car with a quick repaint a few years ago but needs restoration regardless.

This to me would put it in the 35K price range so I was out. The only reason I can think of for the higher price and still not selling is that it has docs(which may or may not be real) and the color combo. That is a stunning combo!!! .....but not worth paying THAT much more for......

Are the exception letters the same on 69 as the 67? At least I could check that much. Outside of having Al Grenning look at it I guess I am on my own.
To the other guy that thought the car was worth 35,000. From what I have seen you can't buy any 69/435 CONV. with any color combination & in descent condition for that money. Gust my opinion & pocketbook.

These are the two letters after the option # as in N14AA or BA. AA would be 2" pipe small block,BA would be 2.5" 427. on the build sheet.

All 69s had 2" exhaust pipes regardless of engine type. Not sure what the AA stands for.

Every big block I have had have 2.5 exhaust. My two 70 LT-1"S have 2.5 also.

Sorry Ken but as far as I know 69 was the only year for that era where ALL engines(yes even the L88) had the 2" exhaust. 68 was 2-1/2" and 70 to??? was also 2-1/2" but 69 was only 2". I know it sounds funny but that's the way it was.

My 69 L36 had 2-1/2 " on it too but it wasn't original so it now has 2" to make it correct.
