I have a 1969 350/350 without power steering or ac. I have the motor out to have it blue printed and balanced. In looking at the pulleys, the front water pump pulley has part number 3883235. The 1969 assembly manual shows 3883234. Can anyone with an original car provide any verification on the proper pulley number? Thanks,Steve

Re: 1969 350/350 Water Pump Pulley
Steve, as far as what have seen use of the 3983234 pulley ended with early production 1968 327s. The 3983235 was used from late 1968 through 1970. My 1969 AIM calls for the use of the ...235 for your application.- Top

Where are you finding this in the 1969 AIM? I don't think there's a section in the 1969 AIM which shows anything regarding the L-46 engine application unless yours is different than the ones I've looked at. The AIM does show the pullies for the base engine application. However, it shows the GM #3883235. Of course, that does not mean that the L-46 used the same pulley.
The only difference between the 2 pullies was a modest difference in OD. The GM #3883235 is 5-7/8" OD; the GM #3883234 is 6-5/16" OD.
GM was very "vague" on which front pullies were used for 1969-70 L-46 applications. However, it's my belief that the 3883235 was used. And, that's exactly what you have.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
