Roy, if you use a service such as photobucket the TDB just links to that photo and doesn't retain it permanently. So, IMHO it would be best to post it for archive preservation. If you delete the photos on photobucket or some other service they get deleted here.
John, you can post the same image multiple times here by pointing to that image by inserting the original post's link or by going to the original post and do a copy and paste of the attachment. John W.'s process below works great.

John Waggoner's instructions for duplicate photo posting:
Find the picture that you want to use in the original post. Then right click on it. Select Copy Image Location.
Then go to the new message and then click on the Picture Icon on the toolbar. In the box that pops up click Ctrl-v to paste the location into the post like this. It is best to use the Preview Post button to insure that the picture is what you expect it to be. If all is good then go to the Submit button.
