The date stamp on three of the four 67 seat belt labels on my May car is missing. What point deduction should I expect? Asuming reproduction labels are available, would replacing the labels result in a smaller deduction?

Re: seat belt labels
I replaced all the labels on my 67 belts and received full credit.
Replacement was a chore. Went to the local shoemaker to get the new tags sewn on. His thickest thread was about a #60. He gave me an address to purchase thread. Bought a spool of #210. Went back to the shoemaker and we struggled with the thread tensions for about 1 hr.
End result was good though. The left one is a repop while the right one is original. 12E67 was not available from the vendor so I used 10E67- Top

Re: seat belt labels
Randy,
Funny, I have a June 67 where only one of the labels had a date stamp, and much earlier than one would expect- 7E67. Have owned the car since Dec 68, and know that they are the originals from the factory.
First time out, I got 2 condition points off, but mainly for the shape of the belts and buckles. Put a set of restored belts and buckles on with repro stamped labels, sewed the labels on myself. They just looked too new and phoney. But last time out, zero points off.
Go figure, probably $150 a point, not very economical. But the restored belts and buckles, do look nice.Jerry Fuccillo
