    Wonder Bar Radio Instructions - Circa '62

    Asking for your kind help again

    The Wonder Bar Radio Operating Instructions offered by some Corvette supply houses is printed in black ink. Their is number 7262755.
    I've found a correct for '62 7271626 said to be absolutely original but from the scan it seems to be printed in blue ink.
    Would any of you guys who have C-1s or early mid-year Vettes with an original Wonder Bar Radio Instruction sheet tell me the "correct" color of the print???
    Thanks ever so much!

    Bill;

    Sorry, but my 63 is a July 9 build. By that point in time, we were into Jazz music and had developed an appreciation for FM broadcasts (even monoral). As such, I ordered with the AM/FM Radio (U69) option.

    I have the original AM/FM instruction sheet which is a 4 page single fold piece of light weight paper with black printing. I recall my attention to the suggestion that the antenna mast be set at a measured 30", which I did religously. I was stationed at White Sands in New Mexico and could only get a few FM stations out of El Paso, and one from Las Cruces. The best station reception out of El Paso was a station that played a lot of German music for the troops training at Fort Bliss. To this day I find myself humming some of those tunes.

      Bill,
      The early wonderbar instruction sheets are in fact part number 7271626. They are on white paper with black letters. I've seen many and that is the way they all were. I believe that radio sheet was used from 58-62 and possibly into 1963.

        Dave,

        I have today checked with several knowledgeable Corvette literature dealers, including one who took his good time to pull out and original 626....it is black ink....all contacts I've had confirm "black". You helped "chinch" it.

        My sincere thanks to all who took the time to share what they know. You saved me some money !!

        You guys are so good, should I move it all to cash?

        No kiddin', Thank you.

        Bill

          If the 7271626 is the correct instruction sheet, what is the 7262755 for and does anyone make a correct repro. $500 for an original that there is a waiting list for is crazy.
