date stamping a carburetor tag

Can anyone tell me who will punch and date stamp my brand new brass carburetor tag?

The tag is already stamped with the correct carburetor number.

I know the subject has been brought up before.........I never did find the correct answer.

I am sure if you mailed them to Chuck Smith he could do it for a fair price.

I just received some carbs and tags from Chuck Smith and during some post conversations with them, I was told that all their tag work is done by Bob Kunz. They also said he does almost all the tag work for everyone across the country.

The last I talked to Bob Kuntz, he DOES have the tooling to make 'correct' Carter carb tags, BUT only for the later style aluminum versions...

Bob referred me to Marty Hein at (651) 464-5645 for correct brass tags. No problema!

I got my '56 2x4 tags from Marty Hein upon recommendation from Bob Kuntz. Not only do they have correct part number, line number and date marks with proper inspection punch, but if he provides the tag, they will have the correct rolled-under edge instead of the die cut edge of most reproduction tags.

Question: My Carter has the brass tag on it that reads 382600 3261S D3. Can anyone tell me what the 382600 represents?
