I have installed a Keisler 5-speed in my 63 convertible. The set-up comes with a replacement mount bracket. The bracket has slots in it which allow the tail housing of the transmission to move side to side for alignment. Is there a way to set the alignment other than "by sight" ?

Re: Mid year drive shaft alignment
I would tighten the motor mounts to final torque and let the transmission end up where the motor points it and then tighten it down. You don't want the motor mounts putting strain on the trnsmission /engine interface.- Top

I wrote a photo-illustrated feature article on installing a Keisler 5-speed in a midyear in the April '07 issue of "Corvette Enthusiast" magazine; back issues at (800) 448-3611.- Top
