I've been slowly tearing up my hands glassing and sanding around the insulation retaining tabs on the firewall of my 68.
My last "nick" caused me to use explatives that sent even my nearly deaf beagle scampering for cover.
With that said, I decided to take a long over due break at which time I notice something odd.
Some of the firewall insulation retaining tabs were either bent outward or inward. This also held true for the tunnel insulation retaining tabs as well.
Is there a right or wrong way?
Structurally speaking, if they were bent outward they would better hold and support the insulation in place.
Any thoughts on the subject?
Chuck
