Don't know if it's been talked about before(nothing in the archives), but....

....I was poking around looking at 56 Corvette stuff this morning and found this site full of Harleys' work, dream cars, early racing info, etc. Plan on hours as it's huge.

Yes, amazing isn't it. I can't believe I didn't notice it ever before. It showed up in a search for the Prince Bertil 56 Corvette. Great reading.

Found out later today in a conversation with an acquaintance that his buddy has a obsession with Harley Earl's accomplishments and may be the owner of the site.

I saw what's for sale, Richard Earl must be the grandson. The SR2 Race Car. Wonder how much??? Surprised it doesn't go to the big auction boys like the Bonneville Special did.

The site was created by and is maintained by Richard Earl, Harley's grandson; he made a presentation about it at the SACC National Convention in Flint in 2003, with the Buick LeSabre as a backdrop.

John I'm sure we were in Harley Earl's conference room when we presented Bob Lutz the framed photo. Bob's office was thru the door that he entered the conference room from. I'm very sure that was originally Harley's office.

Rich, wow that sure is a neat site which I hadn't seem before. It especially brings back lots of good memories as I spent my entire GM career (37 years) at the GM Technical Center. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for posting this information. As a 39 year GMer, with much time at the Tech center, this brings back many auto and GM culture memories. Had no idea it existed.
