    Pre-painted parts

    What do you do with pre-painted parts like A-arms, differential cross member, etc. that are supplied by the vendors. Do you use them as-is or do you apply a better paint such as DPLF90 over the paint. Perhaps strip the pre-paint and use DPLF90(seems like a lot of work.

    You do one of the following:

    1) IF AVAILABLE and you wish to use your own paint, you request the supplying vendor to leave the parts UNPAINTED;

    2) Other than the above, you leave them painted as they are supplied.

    If you attempt to strip and re-paint assemblies, you'll usually end up with something that was better left the way it was received.

    If you overpaint, you'll end up with too thick-looking paint and you may end up with paint incompatibility problems.
