I was wanting to see if anyone would be interested in going together as a group to place a brick at the Corvette Musuem in honor of Marvin as a fellow member and national team for 73 to 77 cars. If you have ever judged for him, you know what a good man he was to work for. If anyone is interested, let me know.

How much is a bench?

How much has been collected so far?

Maybe Vito or Mark could arrange a notice of the effort in The Restorer, or at the minimum send me some text and I'll get it put in The Driveline as a member ad. I never use my member ad privileges anyway. We are reaching only a small percentage of the membership on this board.

The next issue of The Restorer will have a tribute to Marvin. I can add the information if you like. However the bench or brick is something that will probably be discussed/proposed at the next National Board meeting in March. Perhaps you might want to take that route and submit the proposal to your regional director for consideration.

Tony, I never had the pleasure of judging the newer cars with Marvin but, spent many great times at the RV making ice cream and checking out '56 parts. I would consider it an honour to participate in a donation. I will call you when I get home on Friday.

A stone (granite, I think) bench at the museum is $5K. A bunch of people over on the CorvetteForum collected $5K in less than two days for Petty Officer Michael Monsoor. PO Monsoor was a Navy Seal that was postumously awarded the Medal Of Honor for service in Iraq. He was also a big Corvette enthusiast.
