    2000 Model Headlights ?

Question on the headlights on my 2000 convertible....they come up fine, when they close they close fine then make a buzzing and popping sound for 3 seconds or so. Does anyone know what this could be?
    Thanks in advance.

Yep, there's a gear in there that needs replaced. Look in mid america's catalog and you'll see some replacements as well as the OEM ones. Not a hard fix.

those gears are plastic and to prevent excess wear and tear on them do not open or close the C-5 head lights at speed because they are like big air brakes when they are opened or closed and this put excess pressure on those gears. JMHO

Actually its probably not the gear, but the three plastic rollers. This is the most common failure. They are also available at the Corvette parts houses.
