I got some bad news from my doctor on Fri. I will be selling my 65 365 Where do you guys think it would be best place to advertise.car is 95% correct only thing left is the top have been waiting for Al Knoch to install just haven't been able to hook up yet.Your input would be a great help

Sorry to hear about the bad news you received from your doctor. Other places to place an add is on the Corvette Forum and Craigs List. Wish my friend would buy it, first Corvette I drove was his 65 convertible 327/365.

I would also recommend putting an ad in the Driveline . . . at least you will have an audience with people who appreciate it for what it is.

Some good pictures and a good description in eBay can do wonders for providing exposure at a very reasonable price. A reserve can always be used as a safety factor. I helped an elderly gentleman in town here sell a Mustang convert a few years ago, worked very well. Provide your phone number in the ad for prospective buyers to use.

Very sorry to hear of a diagnosis that would result in the need to sell your car. Don't know what it is, but will pray all works out well for you.

eBay is good, but I'd be very careful with 'some' of the folks that visit it. If possible I wouldn't show a car at my home, I'd meet the person in a very busy area with a friend in tow. Unless it's one of our comrades here, just be careful.

I'd probably start, locally, as well as with Driveline to see what kind of reaction you get. Pictures would be very helpful as well.....Got to get folks interested with the curb appeal.

These guys have given you some good leads. I particularly like usedcorvettesforsale.com. I visit this site often.

I also agree with David that you might also wish to look locally. You may wish to try your local Craigs list. I believe that the adds are free and although you don't see many large dollar items there, it would probably be a lot easier on you to have a local transaction.

Sal, I just sold my 65 327/365 via ebay, but I didn't use the auction section. I used the "BUY IT NOW" section. In reality I didn't actually sell it from ebay, but someone saw it and referred a friend to me after the posting.

If you do post your car on Craigs List be prepared for many scammers, lookers who won't buy and general trash emails.
Craigs list reaches a lot of people but the system has no security so in this case it is Seller Beware.
