6 volt LED lamps

I really want to keep my 54 as stock as possible, but I ran across a product available now for those of us 6 volt guys that want a brighter tail/brake/turn signal lamp (for obvious safety reasons).

Has anyone tried any of these direct plug in LED lamps?

they are much brighter for the 12volt imagine you would get the same results with the 6volt set up the only problem i can forsee is there may not be enough current draw to make the flashers work i do not know if they have any real resistance built into them just my 2 cents Steve

I've seen no problem with stock bulbs ,but I would worry about the heat they generate on the plastic Lens .Just change the bulb amp.#

leds produce very little heat compared to a regular bulb and are quite a bit brighter I would not be afraid of them I use them in my motor cycle and they are used extensivley in the auomotive field these days Steve
