Was re-adjusting the carpet at the bottom of my rear quarter trim panels yesterday - someone (not me I swear) had tucked the carpet under the panels and at judging I was informed it should be on the outside of the panel. When I removed the passenger-side panel to adjust the carpet this is what I found:
1) A date just like we see in the spare tire tube - interestingly it is date AUG 7, 1966, which seems way early for an April 15 build date on a 1967.
2) Two part numbers, the lower one has been crossed-out (small lines through each number) which leaves the upper number 18433 as the apparent new part number, MFG in an oval and large "1" along the right edge.
just thought this was interesting since the NCRS manual doesn't mention the potential of this part being dated. Any thoughts? Anyone seen a date on their rear quarter panel trim pieces? Let me know.
