Re: C3 Replacement shocks
I don't have Bilsteins on the old Corvette, but I have them on ALL of the driver cars. They are the best things since sliced bread -- great shocks. I love them. If you have an old set of AC Delco shocks, keep them for judging.
I kind of think the new Corvette has Bilsteins on it, but I haven't had a chance to look yet.Terry- Top

Re: C3 Replacement shocks
Tip: the Bilsteins can be painted shock gray and will appear just about as close to the original shocks as the current Delco shocks. The current Delco shocks are not manufactured by GM or Delco and have nothing to identify them as Delco other than the labels (which are removed, anyway, when the shocks are painted).
Actually, the end crimp on the Bilstein shocks is a little closer to the original configuration than the current Delco.
The Delco shocks are still the best value, but the Bilsteins will perform better and can be painted to resemble the originals. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
