With the 8-9-72 date the new jack label may have not been ready for early cars as the birthday book says 73 cars were built before 8-9-72.

...I just checked my 5 Star Bowtie '74 Coupe with a build date of 9-8-73 and it has this same jacking label.

I also have 330936 jack decal on my 3-1-73 build date LS4.
My PCV is also a CV769C. The car has only 42,000 mile.
      Hope this helps.
