    Engine Mount Brackets

I purchased a set of engine mount brackets to replace the home-made brackets on my 57. I received two exactly alike, I think they should be different but I'm not sure if I have two driver side brackets or two passenger side brackets.

Should they be different? and if so should they arc toward the front or back?

    Thanks,
    Tom

The brackets are side-specific. My recollection is that there is a "notch-like" cutaway on the upper, inside corner of the brackets.

Tom, the brackets arc from front to back. Frame bolt holes are closest to the radiator and the engine mount holes closest to the engine. Have a good photo if you'll post your e-mail address as am at max limit for posting photos on the TDB. Gary....

Also remember you need to add shims to align the engine straight

Here is a pic of the R/S mount bracket on my '57, before the body drop.

            Thanks to all.

Please excuse my whiney post, I was hoping to get something done last night and was unable to because of the part. The vendor is mailing me a new pair. I'm sure it wouldn't be my last issue with mail order parts.

Don's photo is great. Gary if you have others my email is ThomasHinds@sbcglobal.net
