light battery gauge out

My light seems to be out on the battery gauge.( 1964 ) Would this be an easy fix ?
Any help would be appreciated

If it's just the bulb, it should be very easy. It's just awkward to get to. The dash lamp sockets snap into holes in the back of the instrument cluster. You have to reach up behind the cluster and snap our the appropriate socket. Usually a slight downward or sideways tug will do it. I believe the proper bulb is an 1813 but you should check your owners manual. Replace the bulb and snap the socket back in. Space is limited back there, so if your hand won't fit you may want to remove the screws around the dash cluster and slide it out a bit for clearance. Bulb replacement should be possible without doing this, however. Of course disconnect the negative battery cable before you start working under the dash! Good luck!
