    American Heritage

I am a little unclear on the procedure necessary to have a car designated as an American Heritage corvette. As many of you know I have a 88 ZR-1 prototype, one of 24 produced and the only one to avoid a crusher. I have shown it as a sportsman before finding the drivetrain and some one of a kind ecm test equipment used by Lotus to do calibrations. I would like to start the process at the winter regional. How do I go about 'registering' it for consideration and what paperwork is required?

I'm curious..............how/where did you get a legitimate title/registration for such a vehicle? And how/who would insure it ?

Might have come from the 'graveyard in UK' but had a title when I bought it and has current Florida title and plates. It can be insured like a race car or if it has title and plates like a collector car.

          Tyler.

I think you are correct as to the origins of your prototype, rumour had it at the time that the scrap yard near Hethel here in England did a poor job of destroying the cars, I heard that they had driven a Tractor or some sort of tracked vehicle over them. The Classic Corvette Club UK hosted a track day at Goodwood Race Circuit not long after and Lotus sent a ZR 1 and test driver for the day. I was Chairman of CCCUK for around ten years including this time period.

          Regards

          Steve
