Plastic bonder

Hello all. I found a good repair product and thought I would share it with you all. We all know how hard it is to bond plastic. Loctite has a product called "Plastic Bonder" that says it will bond "All plastics". The headlight warning switch on my '69 broke off the other day and I found both pieces. I broke where the threaded post meets the body of the switch in a clean break. I used this product to reattach the parts and the repair held up against the force of the headlamp bracket pushing into the switch to push in the button. It is not a 2 part epoxy but there are 2 parts of the product. The first is a felt tipped "pen" that applies a primer. You apply this to both parts and wait 60 seconds. Then you apply a smal amount of clear glut to 1 part only and attach and hold for 30 seconds. Anyone else have success/failure with this product?

I would not expect anything less from Loctite. Their parent company, Henkel, makes adhesives for the aviation and aerospace industry

Thanks for the info. I have a broken radio knob on my '77 that I have used a couple of adhesives on that did not work, inlcuding Super Glue.

I also repaired a broken windshield wiper override knob (under the dash) that I kicked and broke off 2 days before the Novi regional. Held great. Should work for the radio knob as long as it is a clean break with no gaps.
