    396 Transmission Linkage Throw

Does anyone know what standard production 65 396 Transmission Throws were....either long throw or short throw....what's correct for PV.

    Thank you!

All 4-speed Corvettes left St. Louis with the shift linkage set in the standard long-throw configuration.

      John,

Once again, thank you for your expertise.....James West and myself are sitting here in the garage getting everything set for the body drop and we greatly appreciate it!

John --- also the steering was in the (standard effort and response) holes furthest from the spindle on the tie-rod ends, for non-power steering cars.

And the clutch pedal-to-pushrod bracket was set to standard release/regular pedal travel (not the stiffer quick clutch holes). Am I right ?

The latter clutch adjust is not mentioned, AFAIK, in the '65 TIM&JG.

In addition to cars equipped with power steering, the tie rod location was in the forward/fast steering position for all 63 Z06 and, I believe 64 with the equivalent option package.
Pretty sure 67 L88 was also in the forward holes. Dunno about 68-69 L88.

Thanks Dick. I knew you'd know the correct answer. With my limited knowledge of C3, I wasn't sure. I still can't tell the difference between a 68 and 69 unless I look at the VIN tag.

Oh. Yea, I knew that. Just forgot I guess. Which one has backup lights?
