Gas tank cover sealer

I need to replace the sealer that used to surround the cover of my gas tank. I am sure it is available some place. What is this stuff called? I remember we used to call it dum-dum, but if I head to a store to get it, what should I call it? Would you get it at an automotive supply store or someplace like a Lowe's?

It's 3M "Strip-Calk" at an automotive body/paint supply store, and you'll find a similar product at Lowe's/Home Depot where they have window weatherstripping.

I have been getting the white dum-dum at Ace hardware. they have large boxes of coiled chaulk. thanks, steven j. neel

I got some of the stuff from Lowe's. It is installed this morning and appears to be working well. The stuff if got came in a coil as well. There are 8 segments to it that you peel of the width you want. Worked good and is the correct color.
