Juding points for 2007?, Anyone recieve?

Just getting curious, has anyone recieved their judging totals or new pins for 2007. I had emailed Roy a couple of times earlier in the year, he was too busy and they would be done later in the year. October is almost here and soon he will have the point totals for 2008 to manage. can we get him help, or should he share this responsibilty?

I emailed Roy about one month ago to find out what point total I had so that I could register for an upcoming regional and he replied that he didn't have any number for me. I have never received any notice of my points earned over the past 10 years and I have judged at 4 chapter meets, 2 regionals and attended one judging seminar. I guess that I am starting over at "0" again!

I would think maybe Roy can look at the judging sheets in whatever division you judged for those events and see your name as a judge?

I havn't received any points since 2006 mailing, and have judged at Boston regional '06 and Boston National '07, as well as many chapter meets, judging schools and seminars.

Hi Rick,
Yes I have a log of what I believe my point totals are. I am just wanting NCRS to confirm that my totals match theirs. In past years it was done in the first part of the year. What is missing this year, 2009 is almost here? Is Roy still able to complete this task or is someone else in charge of the points awarding?

Bill, Right now I think Roy has a lot on his plate old friend. If you would like to judge for an event just guess at what your judging level is. It's really no big deal. If I can help you figure it out call me.

What you are saying is what, I am trying to point out. We are overworking Roy! and somehow the board should get him help. This task should be done on a timely matter and with Roy's schedule, time probally does not allow him to complete. Maybe our group is now large enough to have a judging chairman's secretary?

I can only guess how Roy's work load has grown since he began as Judging Chairman.
I agree with Bill that an offer should be made give Roy some 'Clerical' help if this hasn't already been considered.
I certainly would be willing to give time and effort to help in any way that he would want.

certainly can't speak for Roy or the BoD, but believe help for Roy has been discussed at some length over the last couple of years/months and am not sure why someone has not been identified to perform some of this tasking

do know that a lot of this work could certainly be handled by "technology", but what I don't know is what the "baseline status" is or if there is even a concept of this all be done in a database, etc.

If there isn't something already put together, it would be not be hard to create a MS Access database to handle this. Access does have its limitations, but is nice to use because almost everyone has it on their computer, is fairly simple to use, and is of course quite well integrated into the MS Office suite of products that have become so ubiquitous.
