Friend has a 60 Corvette .... has only upper shroud, he has ordered lower R & L shroud .but my question is there a fan shroud seal kit ? there is quite a bit of space/gap between shroud & radiater ....thanks

No seal kit except for 62 340 and 360 HP cars, and those were on the side of the radiator suppport, between it and the sides of the radiator. There was a fair amount of room between the radiator and support--that was perceived as adequate in that time frame.- Top

Not sure of the spacer. But, I do know that at the end of the day, you want the fan blades half in and half out of the shroud.- Top

Not sure what configuration you have. If the fan is used with the clutch, there are no additional spacers. The clutch hub sets the distance into the shroud.
If the fan is an after market, measure the distance from the pulley mounting face to where the blades are half in/out of the shroud. The final position should be very close with the original 2" spacer.- Top

Sounds like the setup is close enough to leave alone. If you want to move the fan slightly forward, use a 1/2" or 1" spacer to get the fan blades halfway in/out of the shroud.- Top

I have just been through all this the last few weeks. The fan shroud should be more in than out on a 60 with the correct style clutch and fan. I was concerned about it and checked with all the cars in my workshop and they are all mostly in on new cars. Yes there are a few gaps on the shroud but I believe they were manufactured like that. I thought a shroud would work better if it was sealed better but it looks like in 1960 engineers had there reason why the gaps were needed. Anyway my car does not overheat and the fan is in 3/4 of the way in and seems to draw plenty of air. Sounds like yours is correct.- Top
