I just returned from the Dutch Chapter, where I had my '77 judged...

...and once again I wanted to spread out a big THANK YOU to everyone involved! You did a tremendous job in organizing and carrying out the Flight Judging. My brother and I were having a heck of a time... Thanks A LOT!

This was the Dutch's second Flight and after Judging one '67 427/435 last year (Top), this year my '77 and and a '78 PC got the opportunity to get "scrutinized"... My car performed a "Second Flight" with a very convenient percentage (not bad for an unrestored and rarely driven, but DRIVEN car) and the PC (with a mere 2,622 mls!) got a "Top Flight" - very well deserved.

I brought a ton of pictures and learned SO MUCH. I already considered myself a '77 expert - but you get to learn so much more by going through all this...
Guess I will post a lot of questions in the near future to further improve my car's originality and aim for a TOP FLIGHT...

Finishing words: great organization, GREAT friends!

Thank you so much for your friendly words! Feels good to get the own pride about the car reinforced by them...

...Well, actually the rain started just a couple of miles before crossing the German/Dutch border and then lasted till Saturday noon - when starting in Hamburg, we've had sunshine and just a handful of clouds... And back in Germany it started to rain only two hours after I had the car back in the garage...
So, be it - I can/have to live with getting the Vette wet every ten years or so...

What was really cool, was taking an orange car to the Netherlands (orange is the Netherland's national color)! We received so many thumbs up and friendly words by your fellow citizens! Felt great.

Yes, I noticed the orange car against the orange Dutch Chapter shirts of the judges... Are you sure you weren't trying to 'impress' the fellas from the House of Orange???

            GOOD JOB, fellas!!!

Oliver - what happened with your headlight bezel? Did we deduct for missing parts /screws ?

                    Cheers,

I would very much doubt, that you forgot about them!
