C2 Valve Cover Gaskets

I'm reviewing my judging sheets, and there was a deduction for the valve cover gaskets. The judges stated that the cork gaskets should be silver. The JG calls for natural cork. Info in the archives mention BB gaskets being silver, but no mention of SB. So, what would be correct for small block?

Don -

SB gaskets should be painted on cars with stamped steel valve covers, and unpainted cork with finned aluminum valve covers (the vacuum-formed mask that covered the aluminum valve covers also shielded the gaskets).
