Can someone recommend a source for the high temp engine paint that actually looks like the original? I have sampled three that claim to be correct and appear to be very "orange" in comparison to the deeper, reddish hue that the original color contains. Is this something that happens over time and heat exposure? Any advise is appreciated as always. Thanks, Mike

Re: Chevy engine orange?
Michael,
If you have an original paint piece, you can have a local store mix up some enamel that matches.
Several years ago I used a quart of the orange sold by Quanta, but I don't think that they sell it any more. It was a very close match. However, the next time I need some I'll use some of my original painted pieces and have the color matched.
I know of none in a spray bomb that are close.

Re: Chevy engine orange?
Thanks Guys,
Lots of good info. I will sample the Quanta and Bill Hirch products. FYI- Quanta showing rattle cans only. Not a big issue to me, just trying to get the color right. Thanks to you all, Mike- Top
