Headlight screens 53-55

Any one know who repro's correct screens that follow the body line like the NOS screens on my 55 // a friend what's correct looking ones not the flat look seen on many others

Roy, you may not be that crazy about copper, but every time I see a photo of your car, I admire how unique it is. Gorgeous Corvette. Whenever I look at your avitar, the finer points of your car jump out at me.
Also, I've been meaning to tell you, I've noticed that you mentioned a couple of times about how rare it is to see a 1955 Corvette still being driven on the street these days. I agree, however, this year while making my 1,066 mile drive to Corvettes at Carlisle (August), I had a gypsy red '55 pass me on the highway, about 50 miles form Carlisle. It was a thrill to see the beauty, still going down the highway.

Ridge Thanks! but I see you have some great Corvettes, here in Ca. people think they see C1,C2 on the road every day NOT! You guys in the mid and East seem to drive and enjoy them more. (may be because of the short summer) I can remember when I last saw a 53-55 on the road here. I have a Special kinship when meeting people that drive a C1 or even a C2 because we all agree driving them is what's it's all about because we only get one trip in life.

Roy, love your 55. Keep driving her! It's selfish of us not to share this kind of car with the public!

When I restored my 54, i polished out the screens and somehow flattened them in the process. I reshaped them over a motorcycle helmet to the shape of the body lines. The chrome rings have notches in them that the edges of the screen fit into. I had some difficulty keeping them in these notches as I reassembled, but trial and error presided. Grossmuellers may have them.
