I DON'T like Ike

First, it's going up the East Coast. Then, it's coming right at me. Then, it might go to extreme southern Texas. Now, it's gonna be close enough to possibly bring a threatening surge, like Rita did in '05. So, I had to move the Vettes to higher ground again.
AND, it messes up our opening weekend of Teal season to boot, since not many ducks fly in tropical storms.
Are we having fun yet?

Gustav took the 3 day Labor Day Weekend away from us in New Orleans....The Engine and Trans WOULD have been in the '75....I'll never make it to "Cruising the Coast" at this rate!

Hey Pat, an article in the Houston Chronicle this morning said that teal hunters that are able to hunt over ponded water on opening weekend should have a good hunt. Reckon ponded water is not going to be a problem over the next few days. At least not in the Houston/Galveston area.
