Just had my new Corvette Central exhaust system installed yesterday. Bought the 2" OEM welded muffler style with aluminized pipe. Had found some original stamped and seamed chrome tips that also got installed. They did a great job, the chrome tips are clamped and perfectly centered. Heat shield installed. Also, put an original properly numbered heat riser on the pass side.
I just have one question, now that I have a "clean" system (no blackout paint sprayed randomly all over everything) what exactly if anything should be painted on the exhaust? I've read about "mitting" the mufflers - is that still considered correct? If so, any suggestions on how to go about it. Thanks.
