??? 65 327/350 W A/c

Hello,
Could someone please post images or email to me images of the dryer area of the engine compartment of a known original 65 327/350 A/C car? I ordered a new condenser to dryer line and when installed the clamp on the core support in frt will not reach. Also to install it I had to oreint the dryer with the input and output parallel to the core support as shown in the attached photo. As you can see the tube from the dryer to the expansion valve hose will not connect when the dryer is oriented as such. I am trying to figure out what is wrong, my dryer to expansion valve tube, ( I thought it was original because the hose attached to it is dated 64), or the tube I purchased from Paragon Reproductions. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bill: it's the condenser to drier tube. For some reason, the repro guys just can't get this one right. Beyond their capabilities... I had to return at least 2 that didn't come close to fitting, including one from LICS. Finally got a good one from Old Air Products in Texas. Also got my evaporator and condensor from them. Check out their on-line catalog. Good guys.

That is really helpfull. Interesting though because tech support at Paragon said that this line came from Old Air?

Gave you bum dope

After reading your second post, dug out my receipts and saw that the Old Aire Products tube did NOT fit. It went back. The first LICS tube also did not fit, but they sent me a replacement that did. This was over a year ago.
Here is the second LICS tube.

Bill - Noland Adams' book, page 123 has a drawing and a photo of the condenser/drier plumbing for a 63 and it looks like the photo Mike posted. Also, the drier hook up is at a 45 degree angle like you mentioned your originally was. Pete

It looks to me like they took the first tube and bent it a little farther and then a quick bend back the opposite direction. I think I could bend my tube to match that but I am not sure about making the last bend so close to the nut. I think it would have to be done before the nut is put on. Also it still doesnt have the zig/zag by the condensor outlet that lets the clamp meet the core support. that feature is shown clearly in the A.I.M. but none of the tubes seem to have it. I just hope that someone else might post a reply with a picture of an original tube so that I know what I am looking for. I do not have nolands book but I guess I will have to come up with one eventually. Thanks again for the speedy response.
