Mike, I might tell a brief story. This transmission appears to be a complete, original unit, as judged by a quick look at the photograph supplied with the auction listing.

Point of the story is, this transmission is possibly assembled out of multiple parts, or could be the original, complete transmission. Ridge.

      Ridge,

I have no connection or personal knowlege about the provenance of that transmission. It looks to be correct but like you say it could also be from assembled parts. I wonder what's difference if the numbers are are right and it works as advertised? Most cars out there are a collection of parts "reassembled" from bits and pieces. Who thought about the numbers back then when original components were yanked?

My intention was aimed at the remote chance that the original donor car still existed and it could be rejoined. I checked on Rob's C-1 registry and it is not listed, although that is but a fraction of the cars that might still be around. I would only hope to get so lucky myself on a few correctly dated parts that I am looking for.
