Help Needed: Photo

Working with a member on an article about fuel pump bolts for an upcoming issue of The Restorer. One of the photos is not suitable for our printer and I just haven't been able to manipulate it enough in Photoshop to get a clear shot. Unfortunately the author no longer has access to the bolts in the attached photo. Anyone who might possibly have this bolt and take a high quality close up, it would be appreciated. It's a bolt with an "N" marking on the head.

I just dug through my box-o-bolts as I knew I had at least one original fuel pump bolt in there. Turns out it has an anchor on the head; not what you need.

But at least this will bump your request back up to the top. Hope that someone else can help you.

I have a few but, unfortunately, with the same head mark as Bill's. Here's a pic that may be of interest anyway. Small block through 66 on the right. Big block and 67 up small block on the left.

I know one of mine is an anchor, but can't recall the other one. I won't have a chance to look until Friday or the weekend. I hope that is soon enough.

The author was generic in his article and referred to both small block and big block motors.

Supposedly, the short bolt was to be used with all fuel pumps that were able to be disassembled, such as those used on small blocks through the 66 model year.
The longer bolt was used with all fuel pumps that are refered to as the crimpoed style, the ones that can't be disassembled. That includes 67 and later small blocks and 65 and later big blocks.

There's some confusion about the bolt usage for 66 small blocks as originally the crimped style fuel pump was scheduled for production but later dropped in favor of the screw together style pump as used for 65.
