Question for Late Build 60 Vettes

Question regarding late build 60 Vettes.

Alan Colvin's Corvette guide "By the Numbers" mentions that the VIN tag for a "late build" 60 Vette is located on the steering column inside the engine compartment. The 60 Vette that I am working on for a client has the VIN tag located there with the original rivets. Does anyone know when the late build Vettes began production for the 60 model?

The VIN tag was moved from the door jamb to the steering column on approx. car #1500 (11-24-59). It was however, spot welded. No rivets were ever used.
