I am possibly looking for anyone that would like to sell LH and RH door glass for a 69' conv. My RH glass is dated YX(oct 68', 7 hole variety, non-tinted) could this be correct for a mid-sept 68' build? The LH glass is newer, so I know it is not the glass that came with the car. Is it acceptable to have glass dated the month after the body build? The glass does not need to be perfect, some scratches or minor chipping is ok. If the YX glass is acceptable, then I only need the LH side, if not then I think acceptable date codes would be ((JX, IX, UX, TX and AX) and I would need both, also tinted or non-tinted is ok. Anyone know where I can get driver quality glass?

Re: Looking for 69' convertible glass and answers
Just as a heads up, buying and selling on the forum is a no-no. That's what the Driveline is for.
Glass dated after the car build date would be cause for a deduction during flight judging. It can be dated as far back as a year, much greater leeway than other components.
This should make your search easier.- Top

Hi Joe,
Yep, rules is rules.
The good thing is you could very well find what you're looking for with a DRIVELINE ad. Members really seem to devour it, and I'd bet more people will see your ad there than would see your post here.
Have you thought about calling some of the Corvette 'yards'?
Regards,
Alan
