Goodyear Power Cushions

Although I use Coker redlines on my 1967 convertible, I have recently purchased 4 Goodyear Power Cushion tires for my first judging. I made the purchase from Kelsey Tire after reviewing the discussions about tires and deductions -- the Goodyears being the smallest deduction. I plan to drive my car approx. 65 miles each way this week end, and I wonder if this is a safe idea? Some of the miles are at highway speeds, and I am assuming that I will be okay for this trip. I plan to go back to the redline radials after the meet. I would welcome any thougts and ideas.

I have the same tires on my '64 and have driven them at 65-70 MPH 20-30 miles from home with no problems.

They'll just feel a little darty/squirmy compared to radials - nature of the beast.

Thanks for the replies and the information. The Goodyear Power Cushions performed well over the weekend, and I now have no problem using them on trips to shows, even on the highway. They do ride like a buckboard, though, compared to my Coker radials. Thanks for your feedback to my question, and good luck with your cars.
