53,54,55 Wiper Transmission Fix

The drivers side wiper Trans. froze up on my 55. (sloppy and the cable rode up and jammed..) While putting it back together I broke off one of the tin tabs on the housing.......I was wondering if I could get lucky and maybe find one in a passenger car? Or possibly someone out there knows a fix....Thanks Bob

Thanks Roy; I was all set to put the car in our local show in Chester this Sat.

It looks a little funny with a missing wiper. It still needs to have a few more bugs worked out..anyway...Thanks Bob

The wiper transmissions on 53-55 cars is not the same as the passenger cars. There is similarity in that they are both cable driven etc. You may be able to find certain parts that will be usable from the passenger car units, but they are certainly not identical to the Corvette units, and will not interchange.

Thanks guys; I need the shroud and most likely a shaft plus the long screw. The screw threads are worn out where it threads into the top pulley. Sounds like I ask my buddy the tool and die maker for a little work...Thanks Bob
