Re: job # marker color ?
This is off my late 396 convertible (1885 cars after yours); St.Louis body S-7755.
Would'a guessed an ivory or light yellow crayon, but road grime has turned it darker. You can see where I took methanol on a rag and cleaned around the figures, being careful not to erase.Attached Files- Top

Re: job # marker color ?
I think we need to distinguish AOS body cars from STL. AOS used something resembling a magic marker. The link below is typical of other AOS job numbers I have seen.

Re: job # marker color ?
I also believe my Job number is white. Here are several photos and note that the numbers in the doors is one number higher than the footwell number. Go figure but there have been so many strange discoveries with this car including a typo trim tag for color.

Re: job # marker color ?
This is from the '65 we are restoring. It's the original mark made at the time the car was built. This is a St. Louis built body.
Hope this helps.
