Repair Kit for Mid-year Bulkhead Connector

Does anyone have any experience replacing the engine compartment side bulkhead connector using the repair kit available from Corvette Central (and others)? One of the retaining "tangs" on my bulkhead connector was missing when I bought my car and has occasionally been the cause of a loose wiring harness connection, stalling the car. The kit came without instructions, and seems to consist of the black plastic connector block, a foam rubber seal and a number of metal "contacts" or connectors.

I haven't taken the connector apart from the back of the fuse box and am wondering what I'll find and what needs to be done/level of difficulty. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Grant -

The photo below shows what a '66 fuse block looks like when it's opened up - connector side on the left, fuse side on the right.

      John,

Thanks for the photo, it helps greatly! I perceive that changing the bulkhead connector side out would simply require moving the affected wires from old to new connector, installing all of the newly-supplied clips or cleaning and re-using the old clips.

      Thanks again for your response,
