To add some fun to the three day weekend, here is an 8mm home movie I digitized featuring a bunch of C2s and other 60s sports cars. The file is about 75mb in size (640x480). Runs several minutes. The movies should start to play as soon as you click on the link.

I just got a note from Bill Skinner. He is the current owner of the #15 ' 66 Racer I owned for a few years. Howard Fetterholf was the original owner.

Howard is seen pounding it uphill at 8 minutes 45 seconds into the video.

Bill thinks this is the Hershey Hillclimb. likely during fall of '66.

I began a mechanical restoration and drove it to numerous NCRS events. Bill took this photo. He obtained the car from me shortly thereafter.

Bill did an excellent total restoration back to its early Corvette News cover configuration.

The bottom photo is Howie and Bill in the car together at a recent Hillclimb (Jefferson) reunion.

Back in the day I really enjoyed attending the Hershey Hill Climbs. The v-neck sweaters those girls were wearing were very popular. My friends were all young motor heads in those days. I had a 63 Sting Ray. My friends had cars such as an Austin Healy 3000, 59 Corvette, Bug-Eye sprite, Corvair Monza Spider turbo etc. Those were the days.

Thank you Russ!! That was one of the coolest things I've seen for awhile. The latest issue of Corvette magazine has an article on the Hershey hill climb and I can see what all the excitement is about with it coming back.

Neat stuff for sure.
