It depends on what you've actually got for an oil pan and just how "correct" or "incorrect" it is. Are you sure whoever told you it's incorrect knows what he's talking about?

Well no I read in the Judging manual that I should have a 6 quart oil pan (including the oil filter)and it should be 13 inches long my pan is 10 inches long I just took another look and if the pan was much longer it would hit the steering stabilizer shock so I just don't know

Photos would help ID it. However, does it have the oil drain on the lower rear surface of the pan and slightly offset from centerline?

          Sal -

Your 327/365 indeed takes the "6-quart" pan with the long sump, and was not originally equipped with a steering stabilizer - it won't fit with that oil pan, nor will power steering. Only small-blocks with the shorter "5-quart" oil pan got steering stabilizers or power steering. Photos below of both pans, showing the difference in length of the sump.

For some strange reason, I thought you were referring to a 1965 L-78. Re-reading your post, I see that it clearly states a 365 hp (L-76).

Anyway, as John points out, your car should have the 6 quart pan that John showed in the photo. However, as I recall, some 1965 L-76 were originally equipped with power steering. If that recollection is correct, those cars would not have been equipped with a "6 quart" pan but, instead, would have received the standard "5 quart" pan.

              Joe,
Maybe you're remembering some of these cars were euipped with A/C, rather than PS.

I think that you will find L79s available with Power Steering, not L76s.
